Te Ara Tukutuku Playing Courts

LandLAB have designed new playing courts for the Wynyard Point play and event space that seeds the Te Ara Tukutuku narrative of ‘binding land and sea’ into the projects early engagement.

The court’s design reflects deep cultural significance. Topographic references to Whenua (land), Moana (water) and Whetu (stars) represent the guidance of ancestors and weave a story of connection to place and the environment (Te Taiao).
