Te Whau Walkway Construction
Pleased to see construction progressing on the 6km Te Whau River Walkway that will ultimately connect the Waitematā and Manukau harbours by bike and foot.
Our vision of this project is to weave together of the river and the community through a series of infrastructural elements that respond and engage with the landscape, representing community, culture, and heritage. Aspiring for design excellence and creative place making that demonstrates best practice in environmental, cultural and social sustainability.
We have re-imagined this walking, cycling and social infrastructure connection as a recessive, environmentally responsive and multi-layered form that offers a range of episodic play, water access and social experiences that stitch together land, sea and community.
