South Melbourne Market Precinct

LandLAB have recently developed a Precinct Plan for the South Melbourne Market which seeks to better integrate the market into its urban context and develop an expanded public realm that enables the market to accommodate a wider range of place making and activation opportunities within a high quality, pedestrian priority environment.

Key to our approach was considering the future public amenity, traffic, operational and sustainability principles that will support the aspirations for growth and provide ‘a public realm environment that matches and enhances the quality of the market offering’.
